Declaration

film director

“A dry film, not didactic at all. For telling about Franco Piavoli we were helped by his prints, his books and all the rooms of his house that seem to be a perfect extension of his acting and talking about himself. We preferred to look around and record signs and things. The time we spent with him allowed us not to ask him anything and, by this way, to record some fragments of his thinking in a relaxed and not invasive way. The results are still images of pure contemplation, in which the director could peacefully be reflected in that cinematographic game that we call mechanism for convenience. In the mechanism we explicitly wanted the camera, bulky object, to shoot without hiding its presence.”
